We’ve been busy in the last few months, working on new releases for our Ovivio customers old and new. You might have seen a blog post here or there, but to make life easier we’re going to sum them up right here for you.
Spring 2026 Ovivio feature releases
A refreshed platform
We tinkered with the platform’s look and feel to make it easier to use. Bigger fonts, colour splashes, better buttons, delightful date pickers and more, all designed to add more comfort to our user’s days. Well, when staring at a screen anyway – we’re not in the office chair or orthopaedic shoe business unfortunately!
This also extended to your nursery parents, with a revamped parent app including warmer colours and improvements in-line with software industry best practices. And for the tech nerds, we also ‘refactored all screens with a design system for future scalability’, which ties in with our most recent release (featured at the foot of this post).
Ovivio Insights Business Intelligence
We love a report at Ovivio, so it made sense for us to power-up our Reports area into Ovivio Insights, adding a heap of new reports in dashboards with more to follow very soon. In summary, these dashboards are:
- Observations and Curriculum Coverage
- Staff Observation Activity
- Safeguarding Insights
- Account Balances
You can read more about how these Insights are already helping settings with their business intelligence in our interview with Abergavenny Nursery. They were more than happy to tell us all about how they’ve been able to move away from excessive Excel pivot tables thanks to Ovivio Insights!
Tax-Free Childcare Integration
Depending on who you ask, this might be our biggest release of the year. Not necessarily because of the Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) integration itself, but because of what we brought with it.
While parents can now link their TFC accounts with Ovivio Payments and pay or part-pay their childcare invoices using it, they can now also pay off the rest of their balance through their phones. That’s right – Ovivio Payments mobile payments is now available to every Ovivio customer with no up-front costs. There are still transaction fees on card and Direct Debit payments (sadly we can’t escape those card companies’ charges), but the Stripe account you need to set it up is free and it costs your parents nothing.
If your parents use TFC, hopefully this is all music to your ears.
Summer 2026 Ovivio feature releases
NoodleNow! integration – in a widget
Use NoodleNow! for your CPD? Good news – we’re now the only software system integrated with their fabulous e-learning platform.
With a link and a brand-new widget, all team members can now see an overview of course completion across the setting, helping guide their own CPD journey. This includes courses completed, average score, inactive users and top courses completed.
It also comes with a handy link to login to NoodleNow!, so you can always pick up where you left off without having to go Google searching. Just connect once and you’re good to go!
Holiday RSVPs
Our latest feature release and put in place just before the summer holiday season – timely!
Now there should be no more friction when little Frankie and his fraternal twin fly off to Fuerteventura. Just send out a Holiday RSVP before your given holiday season kicks in and it’s a doddle for your parents to let you know when they won’t be around.
Summer, Christmas, Easter, etc. – whatever the season, your RSVPs are there to be respondez-ed to, with a handy little dashboard showing you who needs an extra nudge.
